Oklahoma Roots

How did we end up as elderberry farmers? It's quite the story. Oklahoma roots run deep in both our families, but our childhoods were very different. Brent attended the same rural school from grades 1-12 and his grandparents were among his closest neighbors. Meanwhile, Valerie had lived in five states before the age of 6. (Air Force brat repping) Oklahoma was a code word that meant a long road-trip to her grandparent's farm in SE Oklahoma.

We met in college in the late 70's and discovered a shared passion for science and nature that transcended our many differences. That passion continues to guide us. The science behind the benefits of elderberry is ongoing & fascinating.

We've both spent decades preparing for our current roles at 360 Farms. Brent was mentored by an incredible FFA advisor and named an Oklahoma State Farmer in 1976. His FFA experiences prepared him for public speaking, farm management, and much more. His degrees in Plant Biology and Chemistry are now used in greenhouse propagation and field production. He's also the head vintner in our Small Farm Winery. Valerie's degrees are in Special Education and Science. Many years in the classroom have developed a natural ease with sharing skills and knowledge. An early interest in wild crafting and herbal healing was initially nurtured by her grandmother.

After 30+ years of marriage, children, and careers, Brent felt the pull to go back home. Elderberry farming has been a perfect last act for us. Managing a regenerative farm has its challenges, but nothing makes our hearts sing more than seeing the native ecology return to this small piece of the Earth in our care.

At 360 Farms, our family's mission is rooted in the soil. We cultivate premium elderberries using strictly regenerative, chemical-free practices. Free from herbicides and pesticides, our healthy orchards yield pure, nutrient-dense ingredients for our craft wellness products and exquisite elderberry wines. Here, we honor nature's design, restoring the Earth while nurturing wellness.

I just want to share my experiences. I have rheumatoid arthritis. I have had it for approximately 15 years...[I] started using the Tulsi Time tea and soon was able to walk without a cane. My doctor was so surprised [and was] able to reduce my medication. My lab work shocked us all. [It] was better than [in] many years, and [my] pain was reduced. Not pain-free but so much better. So thankful! [it] has made a big difference for us. Would advise anyone to try it.
